Details

This fall the Community Service Committee, in partnership with the Arlington Housing Council, is planning another landscaping and clean-up project that will make a difference for residents of a low-income community of Hollybrooke II in Falls Church, VA.  To raise funds for this project and make it a success, the Committee will host the Annual Silent Auction at the PMA August Social at Smokey Glen Farm.

The auction has become an August Social tradition that uses this popular event to raise money for PMA community projects.  Now in its third year, the Auction accepts donations to raise $4,000 needed for the fall landscaping project.  Donations will be auctioned off at the August Social night August 20.

PMA is asking members to join the Committee’s efforts and make a donation for a good cause.  The items for donation should have a minimum value of $50 and might include tickets to sporting events, gift baskets, spa packages, trips/time shares, golf foursomes, jewelry, electronics, autographed memorabilia, sailing lessons, fine art/dance/cooking lessons, restaurant gift certificates or any other desirable items that can be used in an auction.  Creative items like a day of wine tasting, a segway tour of Washington, DC or a swimming pool membership for the summer season are also welcome.
