The CEO of Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRIT) George F. McKenzie keynotes PMA’s Annual CEO Address Thursday, September 17. McKenzie will project where his company sees opportunities in the regional marketplace and how he plans to capitalize on them. He also will describe how he benchmarks both corporate and individual performance and relate the qualities he expects from his company’s property management professionals.
As the oldest existing publicly traded REIT in the United States, WRIT has a long history of building value for its shareholders. The company has a unique perspective on the market being the only REIT focused exclusively on the greater Washington, D.C. region with a diverse portfolio of investments. McKenzie has a vast knowledge and outstanding expertise in asset management and real estate investments. Since joining WRIT in 1996, McKenzie has served in several key executive roles, including executive vice president of real estate and chief operating officer.
