PMEXPO 2008 Seminars

PMEXPO responds to changing market conditions and owner expectations and offers up-to-date practical education seminars. The seminars are designed to help property management professionals improve their management approaches and capitalize on the experience and expertise of seminar leaders.

The following seminars will be offered at the PMEXPO 2008:

The seminar on maintenance will be presented by Scott Skokan (Bozzuto Management), Bill Lehan (DARO Realty) and Ted Ross (Ted Ross Consulting). This superb panel will share their proven methodologies for reducing maintenance expenses and driving revenue to the bottom line.

The Best Practices Residential is designed as an open forum to discuss the best practices for managing multifamily residential properties. Cindy Clare (Kettler), Dave Thomas (Allen & Rocks) and Nancy Goldsmith (Bozzuto Management) will host the discussion.

The Best Practices Commercial will focus on emergency preparedness for commercial properties. The seminar will cover best security practices; best practices for responding to fires, floods and media inquiries during an emergency; and best practices for assuring tenant safety and securing the property during and after emergencies.

Noted real estate attorney Michael Winer (Southern Management Corp.) will present the Legislative Update. He will review the major legislative and regulatory requirements in Maryland that affect the management and operation of real property in the region.

The Internet Marketing seminar, presented by the Washington Post Property Management Group, will discuss effective strategies for leasing apartments online. Attendees will learn how they can maximize their Web returns while reaching prospective residents at every stage of the search process. The seminar will offer practical advice about how to convert Internet browsers from warm to hot prospects.
