High school diploma or equivalent is required. 3+ years of maintenance experience - preferably at an apartment complex or in a residential capacity. EPA CFC Universal Certification is highly preferred. HVAC Certification is highly preferred.Bilingual is preferred. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repairs and apartment turns. Must be available for on-call hours and possible overtime. Must be attentive to detail and be able to work independently. General knowledge of painting and drywall.
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the asset. The Maintenance Technician ensures that common areas, grounds, resident apartments/homes and mechanical systems are clean and operating as intended. This position will be primarily located out of our Ashburn Meadows location in Ashburn, VA.
Assist with completion of all maintenance requests. Provide all new residents with an orientation of their home and demonstrates the proper operation of all appliances and systems, as well as the location of all shut off valves. Provide top-notch customer service to residents. Comply with all Fair Housing laws. Assist management with resident move-out inspections and paperwork. Assist with major repairs at the community. Conduct daily property inspections to ensure that the property curb appeal meets standards Assist with the turnover process and various steps to prepare a home for a new resident. Assist with preventative maintenance and alert management to any issues that may impact life, safety, asset preservation or resident satisfaction. Assist the team with completing work orders. When required, respond to all emergency calls in a timely manner. Act in accordance with CRC Business Ethics.
