At the November 21 Past Presidents’ Awards Banquet, PMA will honor some of the property management industry’s most outstanding individuals with its EPIC Awards

CAPITAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD:  PMA’s highest honor, the Capital Achievement Award recognizes a PMA member who has made an outstanding advancement in the multi-family industry. The 2019 Capital Achievement Award is being presented to Ted Ross (TRC Engineering)

MAKING A DIFFERENCE AWARD: The Making a Difference Award is presented to a PMA member who participates in community service and is making significant contributions to the community through their time, talents, actions, dedication and generosity. Linda Silva (Creative Marketing Concepts, Inc.) is the recipient of this year’s Making a Difference Award. 

VISIONARY AWARD: The Visionary Award is presented to a PMA member who demonstrates forward-thinking insight, creativity and has the ability to create and implement a strategy. This year, The Visionary Award is being presented to Larry Edmonds (Capitol Pest)

BYRON L. "CHRIS" CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: The 2019 Memorial Scholarship is honoring Byron L. “Chris” Christenson, CPM®. Chris passed away in December 2018. Over his long career in property management, Chris served as president of PMA, AOBA and IREM Chapter 8. He received the Sydney Glassman Memorial Award from AOBA, CPM® of the Year Award from IREM and PMA’s Alvin L. Sussman Award, among several other awards and accolades. The Byron L. “Chris” Christensen Memorial Scholarship is being presented to Bailey Rike

Association leaders will also present the PMEXPO 2019 Best Booth Awards, honor 2019 Corporate Partners and more. Join nearly 200 PMA members and peers to install the 2020 Board of Directors and to recognize the outstanding achievements of those who have given their time and expertise to advance the property management industry and the Association.

At the Past Presidents’ Awards Banquet, the Community Service Committee is holding a drive for The Children’s Inn at NIH. Families travel from all over the world to access the groundbreaking medical treatment available at the NIH, and the holidays can be difficult being so far from home. The Inn brings the holiday season to life, creating a magical experience with holiday festivities and a special in-house“Gingerbread Gift Shop.” Stocked with generous donations of brand new toys, games and other items, children and their families can shop for holiday gifts – all at no cost –for loved ones.
