Building a Better Bridge: Enhancing Collaboration Between Leasing and Maintenance Teams

In the Summit's opening general session, Toni R. Harris, CPM®, ARM®, will discuss the essential roles that maintenance professionals and leasing professionals play in customer experience and asset management, highlighting how effective collaboration can lead to greater success.

  • Learn about the interconnected nature of leasing and maintenance roles, and how each contributes significantly to customer satisfaction and asset management. 

  • Gain techniques for improving communication between leasing and maintenance teams, ensuring clear and productive interactions. 

  • Enhance skills to collaboratively address common challenges in property management, fostering a team-oriented approach to problem-solving. 

  • Explore methods to to use teamwork to directly improve the resident experience, thereby enhancing customer loyalty and preserving the value of the property.

Harris, CPM®, ARM®, is a thought leader and change agent in the multifamily housing industry, boasting over two decades of experience and a stellar track record of award-winning achievements. Beginning her journey as a Leasing Specialist, Toni swiftly ascended through various leadership roles, including Property Manager Marketing Director, Regional Manager, Regional Vice-President, Vice-President and ultimately Senior Vice-President.

Currently serving as the Vice-President of Property Management for Riparian Capital Partners, Toni also wears the hat of Founder-CEO of KAT Professional Development Services LLC, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to empowering others in the industry.

Toni's expertise extends beyond her executive roles; she is a nationally recognized instructor for both the Institute of Real Estate Management and the National Apartment Association Education Institute. She also serves in the prestigious role of a Board of Director member for IREM. Amy Earp will close the Summit with an interactive session to help participants become more balanced in their thinking, feeling and doing by giving them skills and mindset for proper self-awareness, self-management, self-motivation, and relationship management.
