ABOUT THE PANELISTS
Bardie Badrani

Bardie Badrani is a seasoned groundskeeper at The Elms at Signal Hill Station, having been with the property since its inception in 2016. With over 25 years of experience in his role, Bardie's dedication and expertise in maintaining the grounds have been instrumental to the property's upkeep and aesthetic appeal. Bardie's outstanding performance has been consistently recognized, having been awarded PMA Groundskeeper of the Year five times in the last six years. His commitment to excellence and passion for his work make him a highly respected member of the team at The Elms at Signal Hill Station.

Andrew Davies

Andrew Davies is a dedicated Property Manager at The Elms at Signal Hill Station, known for his commitment to customer service excellence and delivering high-quality results. With a passion for fostering positive resident and vendor relationships and maintaining property standards, Andrew ensures smooth operations and resident satisfaction. His professional drive and attention to detail make him a valuable asset to the community. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys staying active with hobbies like soccer, attending sporting events and spending quality time with his family.

Meredith Forbes

Meredith Forbes brings over two decades of dynamic property management expertise to Legend. Beginning as a Leasing Consultant at Camden Property Trust, she quickly ascended to Executive Assistant at their Mid Atlantic corporate office, then managed her own lease-up within four years. Joining Legend in 2017, Meredith orchestrated the successful lease-up of The Elms At Shannon’s Glen, earning the Delta Associates award for Fastest Paced Lease-Up. Leading The Elms At Century in 2019, her team garnered the PMA PACE Best In Show award in 2021. Currently overseeing her third lease-up for Legend at Elms At The Refuge, Meredith holds an ARM from IREM, chairs Legend’s DEI&B Advisory Council, and mentors future leaders as a Legend LEADS Mentor.

AMy O'Neil

Amy O'Neil is a dedicated leasing consultant at The Elms at Signal Hill Station, bringing a wealth of experience to her role. Having joined the company in May 2000, Amy has held nearly every position within the leasing office during her tenure. Her extensive knowledge of the industry and commitment to exceptional customer service make her an invaluable member of the team. Outside of work, Amy cherishes spending quality time with her family and her two beloved dogs.

Daniel Turner

Daniel Turner brings over two decades of dedicated service and leadership to Legend. Joining in 2004 as a Roving Preventative Maintenance Technician, he quickly advanced to Maintenance Tech III for The Elms at Germantown, eventually becoming Service Manager. After 14 years of fostering excellence there, Daniel undertook a new challenge at The Elms at Century in 2019, achieving notable accolades including the PMA PACE Best in Show award in 2021. Daniel holds a CAMT certification and is actively involved in Legend’s DEI&B Advisory Council, emphasizing his commitment to diversity and inclusion. He also mentors future leaders within the company.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Karen Trueman

Karen Trueman is Director of Talent Development and Brand Reputation with Legend Management Group. Karen began her career with Legend Management Group in  2005 as the Property Manager at The Elms at Oakton with over 20 years of experience in the property management industry. She has held various positions in the industry, some of which include Leasing Professional, Resident Services Coordinator, Assistant Manager, Property Manager, Sr Property Manager and Trainer. Karen has experience working with both high-rise and garden-style apartment communities in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, and loves being a part of the industry.

Karen has earned her ARM® and CPM® designations from IREM® and is a member of IREM® Northern Virginia’s Executive Board.  She stays actively involved and serves on numerous committees with industry organizations including PMA, IREM®, AOBA, MMHA and NAA.  She is also a member of the Association for Talent Development and sits on the Property Management Advisory Board at Virginia Tech.  Karen feels passionately about supporting and guiding others in their growth and development journeys.  She oversees the L.E.A.D.S. program which provides mentorship opportunities to Legend team members and oversees Legend’s Health & Wellness Program. Additionally, Karen believes in giving back to the community and getting everyone from team members to residents to industry partners involved in helping those less fortunate.
