Property managers, management companies and individuals participating in the Maintenance Professional Awards receive the following benefits:

  Industry Recognition: Maintenance Professional Award Winners will be announced at PMA’s 5th Annual Awards Ceremony - Celebrating Excellence in the Property Management Industry, on November 6, 2025, at MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino. Winners will be showcased in PMA’s communications all year.

  • Reports to Engineer, Service/Operations Director, or Property/Resident Manager.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the property's physical plant, equipment, and tools.
  • Supervises maintenance and service staff.
  • Schedules daily repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Reports to the Director of Operations or Property/Resident Manager.
  • This individual usually has one or more licenses.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the physical and mechanical operations of multiple properties within a portfolio, compliance with safety, preventive maintenance programs.
  • Supervises Service Managers and/or Engineer(s).
  • Comprises a group of dedicated individuals skilled in various aspects of property maintenance.
  • Works collaboratively to respond to service requests, perform repairs, and maintain the operational integrity of the property.
  • Distinguished for exemplary performance in their respective maintenance role, whether Janitorial, Technician, Manager, Engineer or Director, etc.
  • Exhibits superior skills and a proactive approach in their duties, significantly enhancing property operations and maintenance standards.

EVALUATION DATES: Evaluations will take place July - September 2025.

* Nomination fees are due within 30 days of receipt of invoice. In keeping with PMA's Event and Program Policies, Maintenance Professional Award entries may be withdrawn or transferred but are not refundable. All requests for transfer must be made more than 30 days prior to scheduling of evaluation/consideration and/or 90 days prior to the event at which award winners will be announced.
